Who are BIA Members?

If you own a commercial property or operate a business within the Preston Street BIA boundaries, you are automatically a member of the Business Improvement Area (BIA). Membership is funded through the BIA levy, which appears on your property tax bill—or may be included in your rent if you are a tenant. This levy is collected by the City of Ottawa and returned to the BIA to support marketing, beautification, events, and programs that benefit the entire district.

Members are part of a collective effort to promote, improve, and enhance Ottawa’s Little Italy, with access to resources, updates, and a meaningful voice in shaping the future of our main street community.

Learn more about the benefits of BIA membership in our Member Information Package.

Meeting Minutes

The Preston Street BIA is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors who help set the vision for our neighbourhood, represent the interests of our businesses, and report to the City of Ottawa.

The Board meets on the first Tuesday of every month. Approved meeting minutes are posted below so you can stay connected with what’s happening.
