Arlecchino

The harlequin-decorated, black-granite, wasp-waist column bears a solid cast Arlecchino mask, seemingly dancing – or laughing – upon lengths of swirling ribbon. The most popular of the Commedia dell’Arte masks, the Arlecchino sculpture pays homage to the rich dramatic culture of Italy and Ottawa.
